Since the founding of new China, China’s government attaches great importanceto language promotion work into the new century, China’s government to integratepreviously fragmented teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, the establishment ofthe new language promotion organizations-Confucius Institute.This paper analyzes the foreign demand for Chinese language, as well as thestatus of the promotion of Chinese language in China, Review of China’s formation ofthe international promotion of Chinese policy on this basis to expand the discourse ofthe Confucius Institute, described an overview of the Confucius Institute andConfucius Institute the teacher, the textbooks o f the Confucius Institute, theinternational language to promote the base and the Confucius Institute, taking intoaccount China’s language promotion agency functions of government agencies.A longer history of the German language promotion bodies, regardless of theimpact of the policy of the German language to promote institution-building, orpromotion agencies, as represented by the Goethe Institute German language orGerman language promotion agency characteristics of the German languagepromotion accumulation in the long-term practice under Germany’s nationalconditions.Between China and Germany have different national conditions, the ConfuciusInstitute and the Goethe Institute also exist similarities and differences between thetwo, we can seek their own construction and development, and government relations,the same language testing, storage and University relations, work, fundingmethodology differences, both absorb and learn from each other in their respectiveconstruction in line with national conditions, have their own distinctive languagepromotion agency.
