With the rapid development of global economy, the cultural communication amongcountries has become increasingly frequent. In order to carry out the multiculturalcommunication better, business English majors in higher vocational colleges must baseupon language learning, and have certain intercultural communicative competence.However, actually, the teachers and the students mostly focus on the training of Englishlanguage itself, and are lack of training for the cultivation of intercultural communicativecompetence. The author analyzes the data of the questionnaire survey and currentsituation for intercultural communicative competence of Business English majors inGuangdong Lingnan Institute of Technology from a intercultural perspective, andinternship of20students in Guangzhou Export and Import Trade Fair by interviewing,then discusses how to cultivate students’ intercultural communicative competence inclasses, especially the commercial communicative competence, thus let the students learnhow to communicate with business foreigners, and give consideration both on languagelearning and competence cultivation, which plays a certain reference for other Englishteachers.
