For a long time, due to various social and historical reasons, Hong Kong has alwaysbeen in a marginal situation in a multiple sense. As a female writer, Shi Shuqing isespecially in the most marginal situation. Her famous works, the "Hong Kong trilogy",which tells us the centuries-old history of Hong Kong, were written in a fable style, andcould be viewed as the final summary of the "Hong Kong consciousness".In this paper, the word “margin” is the perspective and fulcrum to study the “HongKong trilogy" of Shi Shuqing. First of all, on the basis of analyzing the marginal culturalbackground and the post-colonial situation of Hong Kong, this paper will explore thecultural dynamics of Shi Shuqing’s writing style. And then, in this context, the paper willanalyze the women, the race and the historical feature on the social margin, which weredescribed in the “Hong Kong trilogy" and were always ignored by the grand history. Andthis paper will also intend to deepen the investigation to study the “Hong Kong trilogy" inthe cultural perspective by combining the nature of women writing and the local culturefactors of Hong Kong with the critical methods of feminist and post-colonialism.On the other hand, according to writing methods and techniques of the “Hong Kongtrilogy", I will explore the writing strategies of "marginal Challenge Center", and will findout the interaction between Hong Kong culture and Literature creation by studying thenarrative strategy of women writers who were in the marginal situation, in the search for acommunication between literary studies and cultural studies.There are five parts in this paper.The first part is the introduction, which will introduce the life, writing situation andworks studying situation of Shi Shuqing, as well as the writing motivation and study scopeof this paper.The second part will analyze the marginal situation of Hong Kong and discuss ShiShuqing’s marginal view of writing from the “marginal” perspective that the paper hasselected. And it will also explore their consensus on the edge feature, which meansexploring on how Shi Shuqing fit her marginal view to the writing problems of HongKong’s marginal position.In the third part, on the basis of studying the character lineage, the relation betweenthe east and the west, and the marginal culture by analyzing the marginal history and the marginal crowd in the “Hong Kong trilogy", it will find out how Shi Shuqing seek theunique historical experience of Hong Kong, the marginal social culture and the complexracial and cultural identity according to the historical syllogism and social imaginationpattern in her works.On the basis of reading her works carefully, the fourth part will analyze How ShiShuqing use her marginal writing skills and writing methods which were different frommen’s historical writing to compose the grand narration, and find out her great writingskills which includes three aspects: the inter-relating between novel and drama, thenarrative art of circulating repeatedly and the endless symbolism.The fifth part is the conclusion, which will summarize how Shi Shuqing dismantle,subvert and rewrite the law and pattern derived from the male social cultural system to letthe marginal women, the marginal culture and the marginal history which have beenoppressed for long get the opportunity of speaking and re-appearing.
