It is well known that more than70percent of Korean words are derivedfrom Chinese. It is undoubted among researchers that most of Sino-Koreanpronunciations come from the Middle Chinese, that is, the pronunciationsused in the era of Qieyun. And only the small numbers reflect old Chinese, old Mandarin and modern Mandarin. In this sense, this thesis thoroughly investigates Sino-Koreanpronunciation from the ancient Yu part (according to hejiuying), aiming atfinding out the characteristic of Sino-Korean which does not belong to the eraof Qieyun. Those are before the era of Qieyun or that belong to theold Mandarin.Specifically, this paper is about:Old Chinese of Yu part in Sino-Korean which has a final sound of [a];2.Old Chinese of Yu part in Sino-Korean which reserves [t] or [t’] in its initialconsonant3. Old Chinese of Yu part in Sino-Korean which reserves multitone of Chinese characters in Sino-Korean:Aspirated and unaspirated soundYin rhyme (which does not have consonants coda) and Ru rhyme;Yang rhymeand Yin rhyme finals sound;same place of articulation but different mannerof articulation. In conclusion, some of the Sino-Koreans which have the characteristicsbefore the era of Qieyun were found. It is worth for in-depth study even ifit is more or less small amount.
