Phenomenon thatcharacters with many pronunciations and meanings iscommonin Chinese have become a difficult point in Chinese as a secondlanguage learners. Therefore, it is beneficial that we clarifying the relationshipbetween the polyphone pronunciation and meaning, analyzing its pronunciationcharacteristics, and finding effective strategies and methods to learn polyphones.In order to help students to learn Chinese polyphones, this article calculates andanalyzes, basic information of “intermediate Chinese Intensive Reading”,discusses the situation of intermediate level students and proposes appropriateteaching strategies.This paper is divided into the following sections:The first chapter is the introduction. It mainly introduces the reason and thesignificanceof choosing this topic, the research status, the class the mainresearch content and methods;The second chapter summarized polyphone in "intermediate ChineseIntensive Reading", and gives some description and analysis from a few quantity,pronunciation, types and other aspects;The third chapter is the investigation and analysis of polyphone situation ofChinese as the second language learners. We understand the situation of classstudentst through the analysis of the results of the questionnaire;In the fourth chapter, this paper analysesthe causes of misunderstanding.The main reasons include the following: the influence of high frequencysoundof polyphone, the influence of low frequency soundof polyphone, theinfluence of small difference between sound and meaning;Accordingtoexisting problems of learning Chinese polyphones the fifthchapter chapterproposes the corresponding teaching menthodsfrom sound,meaning, usage, etc.The sixth chapter is a summary of this paper.
