Caused by an increasing Korea-China economic interchange based on China’s economicgrowth and geographic proximity, the importance of learning the Chinese language in Korea isincreasing. The research background and necessity start from that point of view and deals withhow to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Chinese language lectures and learning. Inaddition, the variables which affect the lecture satisfaction are identified, and the actual effectsinfluencing the conventional satisfaction are studied. Therefore the goals of this research are asfollows: First, to classify the variables affecting Korean university students’ satisfaction withtheir Chinese lectures. Secondly, to examine the relationship between the variables and thesatisfaction. Thirdly, to use the research to suggest effective teaching methods and seek ways toeffectively study the Chinese language. In the first two chapters, this study shows the research background, goals, and moreimportantly, extracts the variables from TARGET theory which is one of the goal theories.Hypotheses are then built regarding the relationship between the precedencies and the lecturesatisfaction. In the next chapter, a survey is carried out to verify the hypotheses using SPSSprogram. Finally, the implications and limitations are suggested in the last chapter. Some results are given based on the survey which has been given to the Korean studentstaking Chinese lectures. First, lecture value positively affects to the satisfaction. The secondresult is that the professor existence positively affects the satisfaction. Third, feedback has adirect impact on satisfaction. Fourth, collaborative learning does not have any influence onsatisfaction. The last result is that time management has a positive impact on satisfaction. That is,the4variables affecting the lecture satisfaction are lecture value, professor existence, feedback, and time management. Based on the results, the research is expected to determine how toimplement the effective teaching methods and learning strategies for the Chinese lectures.
