In China, the higher education on arts was primarily performed by some colleges in1970s and1980s, which spontaneously made elementary exploration on colleges’ arteducation, and laid a foundation for the future development. Since the nation did not makeany rigid or consistent requirements on the forms of the art education, the selection of theteaching contents, arrangement of curriculum, teaching activities orgnising and teachingmethods implementing in every individual college show instability and inconsistency. Musiceducation is included in art education, therefore face the same condition.The author of this thesis, by elaborating the the condition of music courses teaching inChinese Armed Police Force colleges and analyzing the characteristics of the music educationin a CAPF universities in detail, puts forward a concrete plan with innovations to improve themusic culture’s teaching model in CAPF universities. The plan includes specific methods,such as combining the purposes of spread knowledge and enhance the students’ abilities,integrating practices within and without courses, bonding learning and practice together,research and further exploration, combining ordinary teaching methods with somespecialties. The author innovatively bring forward the methods with taking the guidingideology of art education presented by the government as the premise, using the teaching ofmusic culture in CAPF universities as the foundation, basing on new educational methods,and making introducing music culture as the major content of the music education in CAPFuniversities. In the teaching, the author suggests to take the students as the main body of theeducational system, emphasize the students’ subjective initiative, guide the students tobroaden their thoughts, and help them to jump out of simple musical study and access tosome cross-major and cross-culture studies, which will be based on their own majors. Theauthor hopes that by means of practice, the armed police students’ aesthetic ability will beimproved, their spirits edified, which will help to develop their intelligence, assist the moraleducation, enhance their spirits of exploration, team awareness and ability of practice. At last,the author hopes that this study can offer new ideas and gain experiences for the futureresearch.
