The Research Of Barrier-free Packaging Design Method

During the centuries since Renaissance, package manufacturinghas obviously gone from hand-crafted to hand-crafted and machinemanufacturing co-existing, then to the machine manufacturing’sdominating position in a rapid succession. Since the20th century, themainstream style of the packaging design has gone through functionalism,internationalism, systematic design, post-modernism and thecontemporary pluralism with focus on ecology and humanism. There isno doubt that since the modern global ecological movement germinatedin the1960s, humans have been trying to eliminate the harm thatlarge-scale packaging production brought to Mother Earth, after meetingthe condition of satisfying physical needs, to achieve harmonyeffectively between man and product, man and production, man andmachine.Barrier-free packaging design sets the elimination of mentalbarrier, usages barrier and environmental barrier as an overall system goal,in an effort to balance the objective contradiction between human needsand ecological protection, to design overall consumer-centered newconcepts, with focus on the disabled, elderly, children, patients, pregnantwomen and other vulnerable consumer groups. The articlecomprehensively utilize research methods from Ecology, Systematic theory and Design theory, through the identification of packaginginformation, open features, production acquisition methods, storagetransportation and waste recycling and other such aspects of thebarrier-free research, explore the formation, existing ways and solution ofbarrier in packaging, all based on the effective application design protocoland system. The article expands specific means as follows: first, apply thequalitative experiments to the various aspects of packaging process toconduct a barrier-free feasibility study, followed by quantitativeexperiment to verify the scientific application and accuracy of thebarrier-free implementation of all aspects of packaging process; second,use the induction system to group all kinds of barrier-free designmethods, to find its regularity; third, combine with packaging designcases for the individual case study analysis, summarize barrier-freepackaging integration design methodology.On this basis, further establish barrier-free packaging designevaluation system and guidance implementation, this will providebeneficial guidance and reference for package related legal regulationestablishment, standardized application and business production.
