Chinese society had undergone dramatic upheaval in Wei, Jin and the Sout hern an-d Northern Dynasties.A change in social class had occurred and noble s class had a str-ict distinction betweencivilians.This is demonstrated aristocrati c class endogamy in marriage.The royal of Eastern Jin Dynasty complianced with this rule.There are12fa-milies married The royal of Eastern Jin Dynasty. They’re Wangs’ from Langya, Wang-s’ from Taiyuan, Yus’ from Yingchuan, H uans’ from Qiaojun, Xies’ from Chenjun. Hes’ from Lujiang, Chus’ from Yan gzhai, Dus’ from Duling, Xuns’ from Yingchuan, Yangs’ from Taishan, Yus’f rom Jiyang and Lius’ from Peiguo.The12families contain not only bachelor families of Western Jin Dynast y, but also the new families formed in Eastern Jin Dynasty.
