Ceramics in the color of blue and white, which can be traced back toTang Dynasty, are acknowledged as “Blue-and-white porcelain of the TangDynasty” and “Blue-and-white porcelain of the Song Dynasty”. However,they couldn’t have taken vogue no matter in quality or quantity. Then, in amore different and more advanced way, did Blue-and-white porcelainhappen to be the leading role of the ceramics manufacture which enabledChina in Yuan Dynasty to take place of the “Era of Unglazed Porcelain”into “Era of the Glazed”. It is the milestone of the Chinese ceramics history,which has once even influenced the world ceramics manufacture. Besidesthe can-not-be-ignored law of Ceramic art development, the impact of theYuan rulers of Mongolian is the fundamental driving force of thisreversion.The Yuan Dynasty, though enjoyed the reign of only a century, is avery special historical period in the history of China. The first of its rulersis a long-term resident in China’s northern grassland nomadic. Thelong-term of nomadic life entitled Mongolian with the aesthetic perceptionof "harmony" as the core value along with the aesthetic connotation,aesthetic form and aesthetic way, which contain the characteristics of adynamic fantasy of aesthetic concept, such as rational, sublime, tragic,rough, and majestic. This fantasy well dominated the creation, manufactureand the development of the blue-and-white porcelain. It also brings theimpacts, variation and innovation to the traditional aesthetic psychology,laying the main features of the Chinese aesthetic psychology to the latefeudal society.Furthermore, the Yuan Dynasty is the most active period ofexchanges between China and foreign countries in the history, whichmainly benefits from the competency at management, absorption of theMongolian people and the encouragement of the exchange, implementing aseries of open-door policy. The integration of Mongolian, Islamic, Chinese,Korean and other multi-ethnic and the coexistence of Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, Islam and other religious cultures closely promote theinfluence on each other, exchange with each other and finally, themergence. That is to say, Yuan is another diversified dynasty after Tang.This is bound to recruit a multi-ethnic culture for the blue-and-whiteporcelain of Yuan, and provide an excellent opportunity for the art toembrace the rich cultural elements.This article will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the aestheticembodiment of the Mongolian people, which is set in a certain nomadicculture, in the art of Yuan blue-and-white porcelain through theinformation of the history, archeology, art, folklore, religion and otheraspects, taking the Yuan blue-and-white porcelain as the subject and theMongolian aesthetic ideas as the starting point. The thesis will illustrate theaesthetic ideas with the research of the archaeological objects and the studyof the Classical literature. From the artistic point of view, the focus of thepaper is to explore the reasons for the manufacture and development of theYuan blue-and-white porcelain under the influence of the Mongolianaesthetic concept.The first part of the paper is the current development and researchoverview section of the blue-and-white porcelain of Yuan Dynasty, whichwill deal with the development of the blue-and-white porcelain of YuanDynasty and the current research at home and abroad for it and the relatedMongolian aesthetic concept.The second part is to analyze the reasons for the formation of theMongolian aesthetic concept, and to explore the formation and thedevelopment of the Mongolian aesthetic concept through the study of theYuan blue-and-white porcelain with the combination of natural factors,historical factors and the religious factors.The third part is to comb the shape, decoration, color of the Yuanblue-and-white porcelain, which is a concrete manifestation of theaesthetic ideas of the Mongolian and the political, economic, and culturalpolicies in the Yuan Dynasty, under the influence of which, the Yuanblue-and-white porcelain was made, burned and promoted.
