Song Dynasty Wu Si Kiln Blue And White Porcelain Aesthetic Form

This thesis mainly explores the art aesthetics of greenish white porcelain which is the outstanding representative of Song Dynasty ceramic, basing on the research of kiln site of greenish white porcelain unearthed in sites of Husi Kiln, with the combination of extensive texts, long history and literature origin. Aesthetics of Song Dynasty is the peak in the history of Chinese aesthetics. Organology has special status in Song Dynasty, which reflects the high degree and achievements of aesthetics in Song Dynasty. while, the greenish white porcelain matured in Song Dynasty is only the best of that category in that period. Therefore, greenish white porcelain in Song Dynasty stores rich connotations and many morphological characteristics. If we do research on the greenish white porcelain, in fact we will just discover and highlight the value of interesting aesthetics of Song Dynasty. While, what should be pointed out is that the author focuses on the historical relationship linking history in Song Dynasty, academic in Song Dynasty, poetry, art history and many other subjects. To the author, the significance of research on greenish white porcelain is that it is possible to construct a discussion space among the unrelated cultural fields. The relevance of much historical information generated by the greenish white porcelain is much more meaningful than the value judgment on the greenish white porcelain. Started from the research on Husi Kiln on the lower-middle reaches of the Yangtze River, this thesis concretely analyses the sites' distribution, the Husi Kiln ' s natural and social conditions of the rise and decline, aesthetic taste and many other factors. Then, the thesis explored the distribution of greenish white porcelain sites of Song Dynasty, the characteristics of manufacturing crafts of every site, the manifestation, aesthetic taste and implication of greenish white porcelain and multi-faceted historical roots of connotation formation, with the author's intention to seek for the knowledge transmission of modern design science and to increase the accumulation of spiritual value. This thesis mainly illustrates the points from the following ways.First, the author analyses the case of Husi Kiln sites. Then the author have reviewed the concepts of greenish white porcelain of Song Dynasty in history and sorted out the differing perceptions and various definitions of greenish white porcelain concepts from the predecessors to elaborate various dynasties' influence on the basic morphological characteristics of greenish white porcelain. Then, the image and influence of greenish white porcelain in the historical development can be grasped. In order to present its development condition more comprehensively, the author compares the manufacturing process of Husi Kiln in Song Dynasty and that of other greenish white porcelain sites of the same period.
