It is known that listening, speaking, reading and writing are the four basic skills in language teaching and learning. But to most of the learners, listening is hardest part and the most fundamental skill. Thus, as a brief part of practical teaching, listening teaching is the hard nut to crack. But owe to the traditional idea, listening teaching is framed in the old mode of "record—playing-----answer-giving----record---playing", information of background is less introduced, so the students can not arouse positive response to the listening materials. Under such teaching method, listening skills of the students can not be improved, let alone the listening ability.The paper is an attempt to make use of schema theory to provide a solid theoretical foundation for the listening class teaching of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL), and combines the present situation of the listening class teaching, tentatively to propose the design of listening class teaching of the fundamental stage for TCFL.The thesis can be divided into five chapters.Chapter One:Introduction. It mainly introduces the background, significance and the research methods.Chapter two:Review of previous research of the schema theory. It mainly introduced the schema theory, and the listening teaching status and its feasibility in listening teaching.Chapter Three:Design of preliminary TSCL listening teaching based on Schema Theory. First, it carries on the general design according to the teaching objective, the teaching principle, the teaching goal and the teaching content, it also explores the teaching design on the foundation of the previous design.Chapter Four:The case of designing preliminary TSCL listening teaching based on Schema Theory. This part takes There is a Welcoming Freshmen Party in the "Happy Chinese---Preliminary Chinese Listening (II)" as an example to make a design.Chapter Five:Conclusion. This part dram a conclusion to the research of the paper, propose the idea of the Chinese listening teaching and point out the limitations of the research.
