Of the four skills(listening, speaking, reading and writing) in a language study,listening is the most basic and important skill. Therefore, the training of listening skill onother languages is very essential for a student’s language development. But the presentteaching situation of listening course stays in the mode of "listening--checking--listeningagain", which is lack of creativity. Under this circumstance, it is hard for us to train welland promote students’ listening skills, or to promote the efficiency of teaching, whichalso makes listening course to be a weakest part of Chinese Teaching as a ForeignLanguage course.By using the Schema Theory as a basic theory and support, with the problemsexisting in the listening course of Chinese Teaching as Foreign Language, this articleaims to discuss the theory and feasibility of applying the Schema Theory into thelistening course, and make a integral teaching plan for students who are of primary stage.Besides the Introduction and the Conclusion, the article includes four chapters.Chapter1introduces the main conception and related summary of conceptualschema theory, and describes the feasibility of the Schema Theory application inlistening teaching.Chapter2begins with an overview of the current problems in teaching listening,and then, on which basis, discusses how to apply the Schema Theory into the entirelistening teaching.Chapter3introduces a teaching design case based on the Schema Theory. This caseis designed based on the article " Many Women Love Shopping", the23rd unit of “TheDevelopment of Chinese Elementary Chinese Listening "(II).Chapter4mainly discusses the Schema Theory’s implication on listening teaching.By changing the traditional teaching method with the Schema Theory, the writerbelieve it is positive to arouse students’ interest of studying and skill of listening.
