The Current Situation And Prospect Of Mass Chorus In Jiujiang City

With the development of social politics, economy and culture, chorus with its unique art forms and characteristics of wide audience has been becoming one of the main ways of contemporary masses music. However, in the process of Reform and Opening policy of China, economy and culture developed unbalanced between the eastern and the western, such as the coastal and the inland, the central and the local, provincial capital cities and regional cities. This imbalance and gulf also caused mass chorus development in different regions existed the bigger gap. Focus on mass chorus development in these areas undoubtedly has very positive practical significance.In this paper, a brief rearrangement has been done to the development of Chinese mass chorus, Jiangxi public chorus and Jiujiang mass chorus respectively according to the history order. More attention has been paid on the interview and questionnaire of Jiujiang mass chorus. First of all, the professional chorus conductor is lacking in Jiujiang. Second, the members’ages in mass chorus are single and their music literacy is poor too. Finally, the popularity of Jiujiang mass chorus is not wide. These problems restricted the Jiujiang mass chorus development and improve.On the base of investigation this paper tries to put forward the corresponding strategies to Jiujiang mass chorus:1, strengthen teachers and the standardization of training.2, improve the government’s attention and support to the mass chorus.3, create foreign exchange opportunities and strengthen propaganda of a high level chorus.4, diversify the chorus position.5, encourage local composers to participate the chorus music creation.6, encourage the establishment of children’s choir. Through all of the contents above, this paper just hopes to offer a reference and guidance to Jiujiang mass chorus future development.
