This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is mainly introduction the background to the study, the origin, purpose and value of the research problem. A new round of world-wide education reform fundamental purpose is to develop students’ scientific literacy and scientific reasoning ability as the core of scientific inquiry ability, it is an important capability in the development of students’ scientific literacy. Nowadays, educators and educational researchers have not thought highly of scientific reasoning, and the new curriculum reform require us that it is necessary to make a detailed study of scientific reasoning.The second chapter introduces from Piaget’s contribution to the concept of scientific reasoning, the connotation of scientific reasoning and its elements, the relationship between aspects, aimed at getting people in-depth understanding of scientific reasoning. As there is great confusion of logical reasoning and scientific reasoning to many researchers and learners today. Aimed at this problem, there is a comparative analysis about logical reasoning and scientific reasoning from different angles, and description about the rise and rapid development of scientific reasoning until the leap to logical reasoning.The third chapter describes the factors affecting the development of scientific reasoning ability and the relationship between various factors, Aimed at age, previous knowledge and experience on the development of scientific reasoning are described in detail. The modern scientific reasoning ability test tools can be roughly divided into two categories:paper and pencil test tools, scientific reasoning tasks, these two tools is commonly used in a concrete analysis introduced.In the fourth chapter illustrate to improve individual scientific reasoning ability method, science writing strategy, thinking aloud training course, CVS strategy, network reasoning learning mode and so on all is now wide application and effect remarkable strategy. The introduction of strategies designed to provide useful reference for the development of science teaching strategies.The fifth chapter is the thinking of the whole paper, summed up the contribution of science teaching and inadequacies of scientific reasoning ability and understanding and teaching strategies, thus the inspiration of scientific reasoning, understanding and teaching strategies.
