From9thcentury’s multi-part music to the17thcentury’s complete harmony system andeven until now, harmony experienced the shift from the multi-voice music to the traditionalharmony, and then even to the modern harmonies. The shift consumed nearly a thousandyears. During these years, every innovation and breakthrough of the harmony played animportant role in laying the foundation for future music learningHarmonics was introduced into China in the52th year of reign of Emperor Kangxi. Fromthen on, it has become a compulsory theorical course in Chinese colleges and universities.Influenced by the traditonal teaching methods, harmony has not gain enough attention. Thestudents are not interested in this course which makes the teachers very depressed. It hasbecome a necessary question in evey seminar to discuss how to make the students fond ofharmony and be good at it.Diversity teaching method is introduced by huaguodong which is suitable for Chinesestudents. It starts from the individual and the intra-individual differences. It investigate thestudents’ learning interest, learing objectives, leaning habits,etc. Besides, it divides studentsinto groups for teaching so as to implement equal teaching better and explore the potential ofstudents to maximum.According to huaguodong’s chayijiaoxuecelv, I hope to implement the followingstrategies,1、Check students diversity completely.2、Choose class form and content flexibly.3、Guide students self-understanding correctly.4、Stimulate students’ ability for learning and creativity.5、Train the students’ individualized education and collective learning together.6、Sort out students’ feedback and adjust teaching.7、Pay attention to guiding students’ mental health.8、Arrange the homeworks reasonably.9、Evaluate the diversification in diversity teaching method.The author hopes that applying all these strategies, harmony teaching in normaluniversities can be improved to solve all the problems.
