The teaching of violin is complex activity, which combines the mind and actions. Learners not only have to rely on practice but also psychological guidance to gain the development of skills. In the process of learning, students are in a period of rapid changes of body and mind, which is characterized with its specific psychological rules and characteristics of that age. In the teaching of violin, we must pay attention to the age differences in order to carry out the teaching task smoothly. With the basis of understanding our students well, we should pay more attention to the psychological phenomenon and its developing rules, guide and control well the psychological process, appropriately arrange the content, procedure and methods of teaching. The paper aims to study the adolescents' psychological activity in the process of learning violin, from the perspective of psychology so that we could find their psychological developing rules. According to the representation of the majority children's psychological characteristics, the stages of psychological development are classified. Corresponding teaching methods are employed to improve the teaching of violin scientifically.The psychological stages of development in the process of learning violin can be classified into three stages: grasping stage of music feel (infancy 3,4-7,8), improving representation stage(juvenile 8,9-16,17), full understanding of music representation stage(youth after 16,17).The cognition, emotions, personality of different age groups develops continuously and possesses their own characteristics.Their music feel, memory, thoughts, imagination, representation of different stages develop continuously and possess their own characteristics.The development of music psychology is affect by many factors such as genes, environment, education, and subjectivity. The objectives determine the choice and arrangement of the teaching contents, methods and means. So the objectives set by the teacher should include overall objective, stage objective and single class objective.The establishment of teaching objective determines the results of students' ability and tendency change; the analysis of task clarify how to realize the objective. Three stages of task analysis are made, i.e. the methods to enhance learning ability and motivation determined by teaching objectives. In the teaching of violin in the grasping stage of music feel, teachers should develop children's sensing ability for music, and emphasize the interest cultivation; in the improving stage of music representation, teachers should give more emphasis to the cultivation of imagination, and the setup of objectives and examples; in the fully understanding stage of music representation, teacher should pay attention to the shaping of students' artistic personality, and help students establish right self-assessment.The rules for teaching violin: to teach according to students' different characteristics, to take a gradual approach, and to cultivate the comprehensive ability of music ideation.Modern education emphasizes that the teaching content and methods should be in agreement with the requirement of learners' personality and psychological development. The methods used in teaching violin are exercise method, practice method, exploration method, and presentation method. There are methods for teaching, but not fixed ones. The teaching of violin is a complicated multi-dimensional activity, which requires the teaching methods have to be flexible and integrated closely, requires the teacher has to be creative, to actively explore and study. Only in this way can they choose the teaching methods freely.There are two modes of teaching: individual teaching and collective teaching, which have their own advantages and disadvantages, and are complementary. The teacher should use the advantages, avoid the disadvantages, and use them flexibly.The violin teacher will accompany the students throughout the three stages. Therefore, they should grasp the knowledge related to adolescent psychology, grasp every aspect in teaching and to utmost motivate students' potential.
