Buddhist statues themost abundant remains of Buddhist art in China.So far, the late1960s in ShandongQingzhou, Boxing, Zhucheng, Changyi and Huimin found nearly1000pieces ofstone Buddha statues and more than100pieces of gold bronze statues. After from theNorthern Wei Eastern Wei, Northern Qi, Sui, Tang and Northern Song Dynasty, thetime span of500years. The unearthed statues sheer number, the essence of quality,style distinctive to establish Shandong’s position as the center of eastern China,Buddhist art. Of them, especially the work of the Northern Qi period unearthed moreand local characteristics, to make up for the lack of information in this regard. InOctober1996, Qingzhou City, Shandong Province Longxing ruins discovered therelics of Buddhist statues cellars.
