The Research Of Foster’s Ecology Marxism

Ecological Marxism is a new theoretical system which is different fromtraditional Marxism and Western Marxism. The most important purpose of the theoryis not only combining the theories with Marx’s point of view and the basic theory ofecology, but also exploring the causes of the ecological crisis and the path out ofthe crisis, and expanding the system critique of capitalism from the level of thesystem. John Bellamy Forster is a typical representative of the Western EcologicalMarxism research in the field of Marx. And this paper mainly studies the Forster’sEcology thought of Marxism. The world is facing an increasingly serious ecologicalcrisis, and this paper aims to study the theory for the solution to the current globalecological crisis, and the China’s civilization construction of ecological. And thus tryto find a kind of strategic thinking and effective path to realize the sustainable ondevelopment of our country and the world.The article consists of six parts, the introduction and the first, two or three, fourchapters and conclusion.The introduction starts with Forster introduction, explains the research purposeof this theory and Forster’s. The first chapter mainly analyzes the theoreticalbackground, and the social background of Forster’s Ecological Marxism, and theinfluence Forster’s own living conditions of its theoretical system research orientation.The second part of the article systematically analyzes the main content of the Foster’sEcological Marxism theory, starting from the re-interpretation of materialism,re-interprets science and rationality of Marx’s materialism. In essence, it is a kind ofmaterialism of ecological. In the study on the subject of Marx’s theory of ecology,Forster reconstructed the theory of Metabolic Rift，and further pointed out that thisfault of substance transform was caused by the capitalist mode of production.
