Research On Foster's Ecological Marxist Thought

Foster is a representative figure of contemporary ecological Marxism.He has made a close internal relationship between Marx's philosophical thought and ecological thought,and proposed a systematic Marxist ecological view.By studying Foster's ecological Marxism,we can outline the basic outline of Marx's ecology,further enrich the theoretical connotation of Marxism,and provide rational theoretical guidance for contemporary ecological development.Through the re-construction of ecological Marxism,Foster established his position on the critique of capitalism and expanded his understanding of Marxist ecological thoughts,and also laid the historical position of Marx in the field of ecology.This paper consists of the introduction and conclusion as well as the three chapters of the main part.The first chapter expounds the social background and source of thought produced by Foster's ecological Marxist thought.The second chapter analyzes the philosophical foundation of Foster's ecological Marxism;Foster constructed Marx's "natural materialism" based on the Epicurean philosophy,and he analyzed it from the "metabolic fracture" theory as an entry point.The logic generated by the ecological crisis under the capitalist system proposes a path that must carry out an ecological social revolution to fundamentally eliminate metabolic breaks and solve ecological crises.The third chapter explains the study of Foster's ecological Marxist thoughts and provides some reference for the governance of the ecological environment problems encountered in China's economic construction.This paper holds that Foster's critical position on the capitalist system is established through the study of Foster's ecological Marxist thought.By reinterpreting Marx's historical materialism,Foster explained the material circulation process between man and nature in Marx's thought from the concept of "metabolism".Interpretation of the complex interdependent relationship between humans and nature.The process of material circulation between society and nature elucidated by Foster has important reference significance for solving the environmental problems currently facing China.
