A Research Report On The Translation Of Australians Of The Year

Translation is a process of communication in which the objective is to impart the knowledgeof the original to the foreign readers. An important aspect of it is whether it is easily processedand understood by its readers. Readability is the ease in which text can be read and understood.Readability involves many aspects including grammaticality, conciseness, clarity, and lack ofambiguity, etc.This is a retrospective report on the basis of Australians of the Year. This report states theauthor’s experience and gains from the aspect of the pursuit of readability during the translationprocess. In addition, the paper also presents the reflection during the translation and made aconclusion about those difficulties which were encountered in the translation process, withexpectations to find more proper methods and approaches in translating.
