Study On The Explanations Of "N+V" Modifying Verb Compounds In The Contemporary Chinese Dictionary (Fifth Edition)

With the depth study of modern Chinese vocabulary, dictionaries research graduallybecomes as the academic attention, the richness of the Compilation of Dictionaries theorydepends on continuous development of the Lexicon Theory, so we should pay attention tovocabulary research. Structural ontology of compound words currently has been studied morein the existing syntax.Compound words has been studied directly on the basis of structural type, or theseparation of a number of semantic structure types, or tap new type of semantic structure, orthe analysis of compound words constitute justifications, etc. However, there were less studiesabout combining the semantic relations types with the meaning explanation of dictionaries,especially the studies of helping with the meaning explanation of the dictionaries by analyzingthe semantic relations within a particular type of the compound.Morpheme is the basic unit in the modern Chinese compounds, so we should adhere tothe principle of combining the semantic analysis with the syntax analysis. In order to graspthe meaning of a word and scientific interpretation, we can analyze the relations in themorphemes and between the morpheme meaning and the meaning of a word.This paper intended to study a special class of composite word for the object, accordingto its composition of semantic categories summarized the semantic combination of relationsbetween the morpheme, and then sum Mode of interpretation of such words to guide thescientific interpretation of Dictionaries.As the research of the semantic relations in the "N+V" Modifying Compounds andinterpretation of such words is not sufficient, so this paper selected the "N+V" ModifyingCompounds as the study object. Through the early corpus examine, we find that the numberof these compound words is not balance, such as the maximum of verbs, nouns followed byand adjectives at least. Considered of this article length and capacity, we determine to choosethe verb as the object. By analyzing the Semantic combination of internal relations, wesummed up this type of semantic structure type, and then summarized Interpretation modedepending on the type of semantic structure of the class complex Interpretation of the co-word dictionaries in the reference, and contribute to the codification and revision of languagedictionaries.Chapter one includes two parts: the first section is an overview of the status of issuesrelated to research, mainly composed of two parts, one study from the compound wordsResearch methods in three stages, namely, syntactic analysis, semantic analysis, semanticanalysis and syntax analysis of a combination of compound words generalize; another isDictionaries Research introduction. The second section focuses on the origin of the topics andresearch methods, and corpus of the filter are described.Chapter two includes three parts: the first part study is about the definition of the N+V"Modifying Verb Compounds. Includes two aspects: the first one summarizes the definition ofthe "N+V" Modifying Compounds, and figure out that the accurate positioning of the "N+V"Modifying Compounds include two point: the "N" is followed by the "V"; two semanticrelations is a modification relationship. The "N+V" Subject-predicate Compounds is the mostone to be confused with the "N+V" Modifying Compounds when we definite the "N+V"Modifying Compounds, therefore, this section also analyzes how to distinguish between thesetwo types of compound words. The second part is about the judgment of the verb part. Inorder to position the verb we will have to know the distribution of the part of speech andmorpheme nature of the parts of speech, through the analysis of the morphemic nature of partsof speech, we find the law of the judgment of the part of speech, and we find that it is thenature of the "V" which directly affect the whole compound word part of speech. We can usethe degree of strength of the action, the event and the state to determine the parts of speech ofthe whole compound words. Section II, we mainly researches the "N+V" Modifying verbCompounds internal semantic structure type. Through the quantitative investigation of TheContemporary Chinese Dictionary(Fifth Edition), we separate this type of compound wordsand is divide into five semantic relationship type. We put some examples behind. Section IIIanalyze the reasons of the semantic features variety and point out that such terms as thecomplexity of the righteous characteristics are reflected in the "N".The third chapter focuses on mode of the "N+V" Modifying verb Compounds. The basiccontents are the following: The first section is about the characteristics of the verb’s meaningof these special compounds.
