Study The Phenomenon Of Asymmetry On "Verb-sheng""Ver B-bai" Type Of Words

The "Verb+Resultative Complement" has traditionally been more concern inChinese grammar, which occupies an important position in the Chinese grammar."Verb-sheng" and "Verb-bai" type of words is relatively special kind in junction, and create many interesting phenomena. This article mainly investigate thesyntactic and semantic aspects of the two classes of words exist many kindsof asymmetry phenomenon.The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly introduces theoretical methods,research purpose and meaning in this paper, as well as the main concept definition, previous studies on this problem, etc.The second chapter we investigate this problem from the use of frequency, theverb with "sheng""bai" combination, formed into syntactic structure, enter into different sentences and sensors, and the physical strength of the Chinese words "V erb-sheng""Verb-bai" type syntactic portrayal of the asymmetric phenomenon in detail.The third chapter, we investigate this problem from the standpoint of semantics,"Verb-sheng""Verb-bai" type of symmetric and asymmetric distribution of wordmeanings, semantic direction asymmetry, and "V-sheng""V-bai" type of wordmeaning related words of asymmetric comparison and differs from the generalcharacteristics of moving resultant semantic aspects in detail discussed in this paper.The fourth part is a case study, namely to "beat""defeated" as an example of"V-sheng""V-bai" type of words lexicalization process and degree of asymmetry, further to explain the physical strength between two classes of words of asymmetry, in fact, this chapter is also in the service of the second chapter.The fifth chapter mainly uses the theory of idealized cognitive models in thetheory of cognitive grammar, syntactic iconicity theory, empathy theory and thetheory of conceptual structure to give"Verb-sheng""Verb-bai" type of words syntactic semantic asymmetry performance a cognitive explanation. The sixth chapter is the conclusion, summarizes the main conclusions of this paper, and describe the questions that do not have the ability of this article toexplain, we hope that on the basis of the main conclusions to reveal some universal or systemic problems.
