In many of the subject matter of watercolor performance, industry isthe most common and subject matter common kind, it is closely related tosocial development process. Social influence the development of thedevelopment of industrial theme watercolor, industrial water colors reflectthe theme for a given period of industrial development, and to a certainextent reflects the development of the society. Therefore, in the industrialtheme watercolor frequent is the inevitable result of social development.This paper discusses the20th century the evolution of China’sindustrial theme watercolor painting process, and then discusses its in theperiod of different forms, value, significance and effects. Each period workreflects the social background of the period. The early industrial subjectswith new period, industrial watercolor of the subject matter have differentwatercolor works technique of expression and artistic characteristics.This paper holds that, China’s industrial theme watercolor in everyperiod have different forms and aesthetic connotation.
