Objective:To understand the mental health status and stress symptoms of freeing rain and snow extreme climate victims and to analyze the causes of mental health problems in the related factors of victims,and make recommendation for victims’ mental health status and stress symptoms.Methods:Select1600cases of JiAn and GanZhou city, JiangXi Province, where suffered seriously,these cases were selected by stratified cluster sampling method. And their status was assessed by the self-designed questionnaire,the Symptom Checklist (SCL-90) and the Impact of Event Scale-Revisedscale (IES-R).The data processing and analysis was dealed by SPSS18.0software.Results:①here is significant difference in somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression,anxiety, and terror of SCL-90between victims and the national norm, the mental health score is lower than the national norm overall.②here is significant difference in somatization, anxiety, terror and paranoia of SCL-90between different gender groups ’score;There is significant difference in somatization and anxiety of SCL-90for different age groups’ score;There is significant difference in interpersonal sensitivity of SCL-90for different career groups’ score;There is significant difference in interpersonal sensitivity and hostrility of SCL-90for different cultural groups’score;③here is significant difference in evasive and high vigilance of IES-R between different gender group’s score;There is significant difference in high vigilance of IES-R between different marriage groups’score;There is significant difference in break of IES-R between different age groups’score;There is significant difference in high vigilance of IES-R between different career groups’ score;④ES-R3factors and SCL-909factors showed a positive correlation.break and evasive can forecas the whole mental health level and every factor of SCL-90.Conclusion:The mental health and stress situation of victims’was not optimistic and there was internal connection between mental health and stress symptoms,so we should pay more attention to the victims’mental health,and take active and effective intervention methods to improve their psychological health status, reduce their psychological problems and stress symptoms.
