Based on4002shoes’ trademarks, gathered from China Trademark website, Chinashoes website, Global shoes website, Chinese Children Shoes website, this paperstudies the relationship between shoes trademark and language culture. It consists ofsix sections,including four chapters, preface and conclusion.Section one, the preface, introduces the content and significance of this paper, theresearch situation of this topic as well as the sources of material. Section2, chapter1,briefly tracks down the shoe’s origin and history, analyzes its great variety and thecustom of shoe. It selects the representative shoes related to wedding, death andchildren’s ‘Tiger’shoes to do some detail research, from which we can see thecolorful shoe culture. Section3,chapter2, analyzes the shoe’s brand name from thepoint of linguistics, mainly studies the pronunciation, the vocabulary and thesemantics’ features. It requests mellifluous and easily read on pronunciation; must bestandard, short and sweet, avoid using unfamiliar words and variant characters onvocabulary; and calls for conveying positive information and happy associations.Section4,chapter3, studies the influence of cultural factors on shoes brand name.There are mainly traditional cultural, fashion culture, cyber culture, extra culture andemotion cultural. Section5,chapter4, states the importance of brand name, theprinciples we should abide by, the problems we confront and the circumventionmethod we should remember when we name the trade mark. Section6, the last part, isconclusion.By the studying on pronunciation, vocabulary, semantics, the paper analyzes thecorrelation between shoe’s trademark and its culture, emphasizes the significance ofbrand name, combines the principles, methods and strategies of shoe brandnomenclature, and summarizes the common problems when people name for theshoes’ trade mark. I hope this paper is capable of some aid and strong reference to thepractice of shoes brand nomenclature.
