The Jin Dynasty which lasted120years, is one of the important dynasties in the historyof our country. Shangjing of Jin Dynasty which directly affected the development ofShangjing’s culture is not only the home of the Nvzhen, but also the first capital of the JinDynasty. Therefore, it is necessary for us to do the study of Shangjing of Jin Dynasty which isthe center of the regional culture development.Due to the vast territory, as well as the different aspects of its geography, ethniccomposition and cultural heritage, Jin Dynasty gradually formed a distinctive regionalcultural identity. Shangjing of Jin Dynasty area refers to Jinyuan Mainland, which expandsoutward centering Shangjing Huiningfu. Nvzhen traditional culture is the most importantfeatures of Shangjing regional culture. With the development of society and history of JinDynasty, the Shangjing regional cultural show the different changes. This thesis attempts toanalyze the rise-and-fall process of Shangjing as the capital, and describe the culturaldevelopment of Shangjing according to the different historical epoch.The first chapter is based on the historical and geographical conditions of Shangjingbeing the capital of Jin Dynasty. Natural environmental factors and human environmentalfactors affect Shangjing region. Especially the human environment is more primary and moreprominent in the the Nvzhen national development.The second chapter is the first phase of Shangjing regional culture development. its timeis about the founding of Nvzhen (Xian Zu Suike-Taizong period). During the prominentmanifestations of this period, Shangjing regional culture based on the Nvzhen traditionalculture mainly, especially the warrior factors and religious beliefs. In addition, the Nvzhentext creation and implementation of the intervention of the foreign culture laid the foundationfor the prosperity of Shangjing regional culture.The third chapter discusses the second phase of its development. There are eighteenyears, from Xizong Tianhui thirteen year (1135) to moving the capital to Yanjing at theHailing Zhenyuan first year (1153), which is the most glorious period of history of Shangjing.During this time Shangjing became the political center of the early Jin Dynasty, whichprovides the most important conditions for the development of regional culture in Shangjing.The main content of the Shangjing regional cultural is the development of capital culture. Itmainly reflected in the court ritual culture and religious culture. It is the result of the CentralPlains culture moving northward and Nvzhen rulers absorbing the culture of the Qidan, Bohaiand other ethnic minorities. During this period Shangjing regional culture roots the Nvzhen traditional culture, appearing the brilliant Han culture.The fourth chapter is the last phase of development. The time is from the HailingTianhui first year (1153) to the demise of the Jin Dynasty (1234). This period is the majorturning point to Shangjing regional culture development, when Shangjing lost the politicalcenter in the Jin Dynasty, Thus Shangjing of Jin Dynasty is from the trough to the period ofrevival and then to the decline. During this period it focused on Shizong’s business onShangjing. His movement of revival the Nvzhen traditional culture had a major impact onShangjing regional culture, making it trough to the revival. With Puxianwannv twice burningup the capital of Shangjing and the destruction of Jin Dynasty, Shangjing regional culturaldevelopment appears back.
