Since all of Sartre’s works on Ethics are not completed or not published, the question about whether or not he has a Ethics become a controversial issue in academic circle. Usually, people who argue Sartre has a Ethics because his Ethics can be drawn out through his books, on the other side, the people who think Sartre has not a Ethics because his books are all imperfect and controversial. This paper does not approve of only saying "yes" or "no" to this issue, but it wants to put forward a third way--beyond "yes" and "no"--to solve it. Firstly, I would talk about the definition of Ethics, and conclude why Sartre has a Ethics, but this Ethics should not understand in general meaning. That is, the ethics is original, former Aristotle and not be conceptualized. Secondly, I would put forward several key words in Sartre’s Ethics, these core concepts will show this Ethics’feature-Nothingness. This part will talk about Sartre’s four important works of his early stage,"The transcendence of the ego","Being and nothingness"," Existentialism is a humanism"," Notebooks for an ethics’ and these core concepts are:"without me","bad faith","freedom" and "authenticity" Finally, I would give some examples in the French philosophical tradition on "others", and try to relate Sartre’s life practice to illustrate this ethics’meaning.
