Jean-Paul Sartre was the most influential existentialist philosopher in the twentieth century.Starting from the absolute freedom of human beings,he explained a systematic value theory that includes moral responsibility and the theory of the relationship between self and others.The philosophical theory based on the free subject contains abundant ethical thoughts.His ethical thoughts greatly influenced his views on literature and art,which contained rich ethical concepts,which formed his inspiring literary theory thoughts.This thesis will study his unique thoughts on ethics of literary.The first part of this thesis discusses Sartre's ethical thought,the second and third parts discuss his ethical thoughts on writers and readers formed by applying his ethical thoughts to literary theory.Sartre's ethical thought and literary ethics,the fourth part discusses and analyzes Sartre's literary criticism and the ethical thought embodied in literary creation,so as to confirm whether Sartre's literary ethics thought and the practice of his works are compatible,and to further understand Sartre's literature ethical thinking.Sartre's literary ethics is mainly that the writer creates and reveals life under the guidance of freedom,and chooses to take responsibility in the situation.His responsibility is to use literature to intervene in society and cause changes.The reader uses the freedom of imagination to create beauty and appreciate beauty,and by choosing to complete the work with the writer,the writer and the reader sign a "pride contract",and the relationship between the self and the other reaches an ideal state.The purpose of this thesis is to study the ethical connotation of Sartre's literary theory,from which it can be found that Sartre's literary ethics has strong practical significance and cultural connotation,but it must be dialectically absorbed in order to provide help for literary practice.
