The Research On The Language Contact Between Chinese And Russian

The study of language contact bagan in the19th century, while the in China the research is relatively late. Scholars and experts of all aspects had done a lot of work on the field of language contact, but throughout the research achievements, the domestic work mainly focused on the language contact between Chinese and English,Chinese and Japanese, mandarin and dialects, China’s minority languages and Chinese, while the research on the language contact between Chinese and Russian is comparatively few.Different national languages reflect different ways of life, thinking habits and psychological characteristics. Mutual language contact between nations enhances their cultural exchanges, and makes a contribution to the profusion of language. In China, how English influences Chinese has been an important field to the study of language contact. As a major part of the research between Chinese and other foreign languages, the study of the language contact between Chinese and Russian is thus indispensable.This paper attempts to deal with the language contact between Chinese and Russian from the view of history with a full description and analysis. Thus, the method of a combination of synchrony and diachrony, static and dynamic is taken.This paper focuses on the research of Chinese and Russian vocabulary. It pays attention to both the synchronic and diachronic analysis the the language. In this research, on one hand, results from previous studies are taken, while on the other hand, some existing materials are used to describe the language contact between Chinese and Russian at different stages, from the aspects of phonetic, vocabulary and grammar. It learns from the experience of the language contact between two countries and sees the shortcomings, considering the Russian’s national conditions and the cross-cultural communication in China, I try to put forward the strategy of language and culture contact,and to promote the learning and development between Chinese and Russian. For a long term, scholars in China mostly concerned about the "pidgin English", while the " Russian pidgin language" draw less attention."Russian pidgin language" is an individual case in the language contact study, which provides important value to it. The Russian vocabulary appeared in the paper is labled with the international phonetic alphabet, providing an intuitive understanding for readers who don’t know Russian, to explain the connection and distinction between pronunciation of the two languages better. The mastery of the national conditions of a language enriches the exsiting language materials and improves the ability of practical use,so that we can get a fully understanding of the cultures and promote the development of intercultural communications.This paper has5chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,including the theoretical basis, practical significance and value, the object and purpose of the research, also with the innovation and the structure of the paper.The second chapter is the analysis of ancient language contact between Chinese and Russian, mostly on how Chinese influenced Russian, mainly about the vocabulary that Chinese output to Russian.The third chapter describes the modern language contact between Chinese and Russian.It focuses on the Russian pidgin language. As a special product of language contact, the Russian pidgin language provides a historical reference for language contact in northeast Asia.The fourth chapter states the letteredwords that are borrowed from English in Russian and Chinese languages and the profound influence to these two countries.The fifth chapter is the conclusive part, a conclusion is drawed based on the statement in the previous chapters. The number of English-borrowed words is large, with its distinguished feature in Chinese and Russian, thus there are still many problems to be solved. They are discussed from the aspects of social linguistics, phonetics and vocabulary and so on.
