Research On The Material Application In Concept Book Design

The design of the concept books is a new idea which was developed on the basis oftraditional books. It express the forms and ideological connotations of the books by usingsome unique personalized methods. It is an advanced exploration of future books and it givesthe readers some new visual experiences.The material is very important for the concept books to show the mission entrusted bythe times and to transfer the beautiful design ideas. Therefore, the appropriate using ofdifferent materials has become a key point of the books to show the artistic charm. Differentmaterials has its own unique personalities, so we should explore and use the materiallanguae as a new creative and aesthetic element. In order to develop the design of the furtherconcept books, we should also combine the material and context, the material andthechnology togeter and let them to produce the artistic charms of the concept books.This text based on the innovation,made a combination of theory, and through theanalysis of the concept of book design, it pointed out some theories and practice thchnologiesabout material using in the design of the concept of book design. This article included a totalof five chapters to discuss the use of the materials in the design of the concept book. Firstly,the text proposed the basic issues of concept of the book design theory in order to providesome theories for the below chapters; then the article focuses on elaborating the concept of thebook design,compared to the traditional book design, they have significant difference indesign concept, book form and book material. and material plays a vital role in the designconcept and the form of books, which is certainly the text research value; Next, the articlefocuses on the application of materials in the concept of book design, and obtained thescientific method of selection of materials through analysis of the case; Second, each materialhas its own unique susceptibility characteristics, starting from the conveying of the emotion inmaterial, the article explores the use of material language as new creative and aestheticelements, and summarizing artistic effects brought by rich materials for the concept of bookdesign; Finally, beginning with exploring the binding process in the concept books,the article analyzes the printing process, the binding process of book design,surface treatment andmolding technology, making materials and processes complement each other, then designing aglamorous works of art.
