| Huagu drama is one of folk dramas in China, which is prosperously developed in the middle period of Qing Dynasty. It is mainly popularized in the southern areas of the Yellow River, especially in Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei, or the south of Henan province and so forth.Yangbailiu Farmers’Art Troupe in Qianjin county (Belonging to the city of Xinyang, Henan province), was named by local government and founded in2008. Though the troupe operated independently and performed actively near the Dabie mountains, especially in the areas of Guangshan and Xinxian county, it is still a traditional folk art perform group. It mainly performs the pop Huagu drama, and also has other folk performance forms during the Spring Festival.This text principal adopts the mode of "concept-behavior-musical sound" which is put forth by Merriam P. Alan to investigate and research the Yangbailiu Farmers’Art Troupe. Under the thought of Merriam’s mode which concerns "the social produce course of music", the thesis separately look into the troupe’s general operation, making-music, performance and corresponding functions. At the same time, the article also researches the reasons of its active performance, the music making situation and performance function, and so on. Last but not least, the text goes a further step to discuss some points about the members’social status, the troupe’s operation, the way of spreading the Huagu drama skills, and the future of the troupe. According to the interaction between the troupe’s operation and local history, cultural ecology, social ritual to consider and inquire the implications of anthropology. |
