The poem-monk is a unique writing group in the history of Chinese literature,it has a long history of development,a considerable number,and there have been many remarkable achievements,it has always been the attention of literary men and scholars.Especially for the Northern Song Dynasty,as there were so many famous poem monks,their literary creation reached different heights and achievements,they had unique styles,and the irreversible tendency of secularization in the development process of the ancient poem-monk,has become increasingly clear in the Northern Song.In view of this.this article particularly concerned about the secular impact caused by the special social and political background of the Northern Song Dynasty to poem-monk,to study the secularized feelings in poem-monk’s poetry,to investigate its origins,and using a combination of group study and case study,trying to investigate poem-monk’s secularization from both the macro and micro perspectives,to make up for the lack of study on this particular aspect.The introduction analyzes the research status at home and abroad,elaborated this study’s significance and purpose,explains the concepts of "poem-monk" and "secularization"as well as "literary expression",and sorts out the secularization process of monks’poetry.points out the inevitability of the "secularization"of the Northern Song Dynasty monk poem.Chapter Ⅰ is a general introduction of various types of the Northern Song Dynasty poem-monk’s secularization,mainly about:desire of power and substances,unrestrained demeanor.creation of love poems,consciousness of life,social care,dedication of poetry.Chapter Ⅱ analyzes backgrounds of the Northern Song Dynasty poem-monk. First,to dig the relationship between politic and religion,and finds out that the abuse of the monk official system and documents affected poem-monk’s attitude.Second,to explore the role of the dispute between parties at this very time played in poem-monk’s life and writing. Third,to find literary environmental factors good for poem-monk,including taking poetry as their work,good condition for reading in the temple,the league of poem,and the rise of Ci. Fourth,to trace the source of this phenomenon in Buddhism:on the one hand,drove by a long history of Buddhism gaudy literary, on the other hand,it was up to this period’s secularization from Buddhism itself,and pushed by the way of merging Confucianism to Buddhism.Fifth,the integration of Song People’s creation theory of taking secular literary as elegant literary with a unique aesthetic attitude ultimately formed a mode of creating novelty in the elegant environment, this mode also brought the poem-monk to secular life and creation.ChapterⅢ are case studies, take DaoQian,ZhongShu,and HuiHong as representatives,who have different directions and extent in secularization. HuiHong was the master of the secularized poem-monk,DaoQian was the best representative of literati,ZhongShu emulated HuaJian,made himself the model of writing glamorous Ci. Finally, by comparing the similarities and differences of them to show some similarities and differences of the secularization of the poem-monk.The conclusion is reflection on some of the problems encountered during the writing process as well as the limitations of content,and sums up the significance of this proposition of Northern Song Dynasty poem-monk’s poetry writing toward secularization in the history of Chinese literature.
