"Lie detector" is an ancient and mysterious topic. Historically, People areconstantly in the exploration of others secret. Until1895, when Cesare LombrosoInvented the scientific polygraph, the polygraph has entered a stage of scientificdevelopment, and shinned in the field of criminal justice rapidly. In the1980s,liedetector was introduced into China, but,it was basically Multi-channel physiologicaltest as the core.Although the lie detector method of Multi-channel physiological testhas received great achievements in the field of criminal justice, it could not welldistinguish the difference between "panic" and "lies", resulting in the emergence offalse positives. With the progress of science and technology, more and morepsychology, physiology and medicine in the integration of science and technologyapplied to detecting areas to cope with the present situation of public security whichhas become increasingly complex, such as the Event Related Potential (ERP) andfunctional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) techniques. However, advancedtechnology also has its disadvantages. To seek a more simple and efficient way of liedetection, this paper will use the autobigraphical Implicit Association Test(aIAT)technology in experiments to detect lies proposed by Sartori, Agosta, Zogmaister et al.in2008. One hand, to further verify the practicality of the method, the other hand, tofurther explore based on previous experiment. In this article, aIAT is discussed basedon the context of Detection of cases. So this article involves the experiment needs toprove that this method not only can distinguish between offenders and completelyinnocent people, also has efficient identification of the informed innocent people(including witnesses and listeners). In experiments participants will be asked tocomplete the autobigraphical Implicit Association Test(aIAT) based on the implicitassociation test (IAT),and response as soon as possible under the premise ofcorrect.there are five tasks in the test, test software records the response fromparticipants automatically. In experiment1, the average reaction time of participantsin the current state and autobiographical memory authenticity consistent condition(for example, for offenders, I am doing psychology experiment or I took out cash from the wallet) was faster than the average reaction time under the authenticityconflict condition (for example, for offenders, I face the computer screen and I didn’tsteal one hundred and fifty dollars money). The value of D was calculated by theaverage reaction between task5and task3, the positive D was judged to be theOffender, the accuracy was87%, the negative D was judgment for the innocent, theaccuracy was83%. In experiment2, The innocent group was replaced by informedinnocent, the informed innocent group is divided into reading group (simulate theinnocent knows reality the case by reading news reports) and witness group(simulate the innocent people who has witnessed the crime process). The averagereaction time of participants in the current state and autobiographical memoryauthenticity consistent condition was faster than the average reaction time under theauthenticity conflict condition. But, the difference in witnesses and reading group wasnot significant.Under the condition of conflict, the average reaction time betweenwitnesses and reading group has no difference. Then the value of negative D wasjudged to be the innocent, the accuracy was77%,The two experiments has verify theaIAT as a lie detector test method is feasible, whether it can stand the test ofpractice. On the one hand, more research is needed to further verify its correction, especially in the decision criteria, the other hand, researchers need to use aIAT as oneof lie detector test as a way to cooperate with other technology used, drawing on eachother’s strength to play a good helper in the field of investigation.
