Eight Tones of Shanxi Province Xinzhou is popular in thenorth of Xinzhou in Shanxi Province, such asDingxiang,Wutai,Yuanping and Ningwu. It is a kind of folkadvocating music which has a unique geographicalfeatures and artistic charm. Eight Tones is spontaneousmasses organization forms of folk music. The explorationof Eight Tones was mainly from the musicology, historicalevolution and protection of heritage while from the perspective of folklore research is less. This article isabout heritance and development research of ShanxiProvince Xinzhou. Eight tones will be placed in a certaincultural background, local folk ecological environment.This text analyses private and official two performancesituation. It makes a research of the subjectivity anddiversity of the way of inheritance in Xinzhou City and thedevelopment trend of Eight Tones in the new period.Thisarticle gives strategy for reference of the perspective ofnon-material cultural heritage of other folk music heritageand development.Full-text is divided into introduction, body, andconclusion. Main body includes three chapters: the first chapter is an overview ofXinzhou Eight Tones. It is started with environmentbackground, origin and development of Eight Tones. Thesecond chapter is exploring from the folk ecologicalenvironment. In this part it divided into two kinds, folkperformance situation and official performance situation.The third chapter is the inheritance and inheritance modeof Xinzhou Eight Tones. It is from inheritance type,inheritance of motivation and the way of inheritanceorganization, inheritance analysis from several aspects.The fourth chapter is inheritance and development trendof the commercialization and marketization in the newperiod. Epilogue part is about the present existingproblems and future development trend of Xinzhou EightTones. Xinzhou Eight Tones will act as a representative of thefolk art, for it is worthy of our investigation and researchon the inheritance and development.
