Zhao shuli is undoubtedly the most widely read history of modern andcontemporary Chinese literature, the most widely spread, affecting one of thegreatest writers, is also a representative writer of literature of liberated area.Zhao shuli is a famous contemporary writer of China, people’s artist, the pioneer"potato pie". Many of his forefathers’ research, but mainly focused on itsachievements in fiction. Zhao shuli besides is a good novelist, he is a dramatist,according to the Zhao shuli’s complete works, from1939to1966, has13, Zhaoshuli’s writing based on the size of the script writing, drama comments have25,this is very rare in modern Chinese fiction writer. He from small theater complexand affection for the drama and deeply affected his novel creation, makes hisnovel published, it caused a great sensation, is adapted to all kinds of plays,drama on the stage.This paper mainly studies various drama of Zhao shuli’s novel, selected fourrepresentative works:Xiao erhei get married, Register,Plate words of Ii youcai,Three mile bay were studied. This article first write the purpose and significanceof research, and combing the current research status (including study of Zhaoshuli’s simple life). From the current situation of research, predecessors in thisstudy is still lacking in depth and breadth. This thesis is conducted on the basisof predecessors’ research, and made a depth and breadth. A novel can be adaptedfor a variety of art forms, from the side reflects the influence of the novel. Thenovel was adapted into drama, novel writing background, main content andother basic information also not allow to ignore. For each four novels are adapted into operas plays were analysed, including characters, stageperformances, lyrics, melody, drama theme, actor, etc. Form of drama afteradaptation, more remarkable characters, themes and more clear, some classicplays, has been passed down. Although have improper handling during theprocess of adaptation, but overall, the drama for the adaptation of the fournovels was successful. Drama after adaptation, with the social background atthat time, get the recognition of national political power, by the broad masses ofthe people like it, has great influence on the society at that time. Especially forthe promotion of national laws and regulations policy played a direct role. Notonly that, the types and the adaptation for its own opera troupe also to win moreaudience. Each drama was successfully adapted, first of all, because the novelitself dramatic factors, zhao shuli in its novel creation account, use a lot ofdrama in the way both setting, plot structure and shaping of the characters, arefull of drama. Secondly, the characteristics of drama performances, is various,flexible and varied in China, is one of the reasons for the adaptation. In addition,adaptation also is the need of the era background, is a tool for politicalpropaganda.By Zhao shuli’s novel drama play each of the different types of analysis, wesee not only the influence of his novels, also more step to see our country eachdrama performances, artistic features, whether the stage performances, orsinging tune, etc; By comparing adapted dramas and novels and our deeperunderstanding of the artistic features and value of Zhao shuli’s novels, alsounderstand the drama this particular art form; Through the study of the impact ofadaptation, we see the drama of this art form propaganda function, also know tothe evolution of various types and in a certain historical period.All in all, through a study of Zhao shuli’s novel, drama, we all types andwhether the novel was adapted from the drama play have a profoundunderstanding.
