In recent years, the strategy has been put forward by the government of Liaoning provincethat to promote the characteristic Liaohe culture innovation industries and further to buildLiaoning culture brand. In detail, it is an integration of development in image planning anddesign under the guidance of Liaohe culture concept, and meanwhile to realize the brand effectof Liaohe culture. Eventually, through the process of integration with historical culture resources, some works come out and culture industry is promoted.Based on this consideration, my thesis is to study on the origin of Liaohe culture. As thesaying goes that to gain new insights we need to review old materials, to make a study on thefuture development of something, we must trace its origin and explore its fundamental essence. The development of art is a modern process and also keeps the most local characteristics as itsessence. In the thesis, we pursue the innovation orientation of artistic design development on thebasis of the origin of Liaohe culture and make artistic design deeply rooted in it.Methods of Literature research, qualitative analysis and case research are used in the thesis.Citing the art forms in detail from several characteristic culture circles during the period oforiginal Liaohe culture, the thesis analyzes and abstracts culture symbols from the angle ofaesthetic features. And based on the original Liaohe culture, the thesis goes deeply in theinnovation orientation of artistic design by studying its angle, material and form. Eventually, thethesis puts forward that we should realize innovation through the process of angle change, material exploration and form research.
