| Among all Chinese New Year pictures, Gaomi Puhui New Year picture is a kind of rare folk fine arts which completely adopts hand-drawing techniques and has been handed down till today. It is a miracle in Chinese folk arts.Although there are many research data on Gaomi Puhui New Year picture currently, seeing from existing literatures, most researches are just limited to the history, development, artist, evolution, heritage condition, intangible cultural heritage protection, market and industrialization. The researches from the professional perspectives such as aesthetics, fine arts and folklore are quite few. This is original intention of this paper. As original regional characteristic culture, Gaomi Puhui New Year picture has significant dual values, i.e. cultural value and economic value from the perspective of current economy and cultural development.This paper mainly analyzes and expounds the artistry and aesthetic connotation on the basis of summarizing the origin, development process and technique feature of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture as well as the relation between it and local folk phenomena in Gaomi. Based on wide investigations, field work and reference to large quantities of relevant literatures, the study on the artistry of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture is defined as analysis of its artistic characteristics and exploration of esthetics characteristics. The text of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture studied in this paper mainly refers to traditional, relatively stable Gaomi Puhui New Year picture which is formed in long-term historical development process and has unique artistic style and aesthetic connotation in the sense of folk fine arts.For some new styles produced with the great changes in current cultural and ecological environment (such as tendency academism and elegance tendency), this paper holds relatively critical attitude. Gaomi Puhui New Year picture as a folk art with strong regionalism is certainly the carrier of folk phenomena and also the spiritual home profoundly reflecting original ecology of the people in Gaomi. Through these researches, cultural significance of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture is excavated and settled, beneficial to solving such problems as heritage and protection of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture as intangible cultural heritage item.This paper strives to investigate aesthetic value and the function of cultural carrier of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture as a folk art from the two perspectives:fine arts and folklore and discusses peasants’ new aesthetic pursuit in contemporary new socialist countryside. This paper profoundly pays close attention to cultural and ecological changes of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture as well as its’ value orientation and development direction at the present times, and correctly treats different artistic pursuits and aesthetic orientations of paintings of man-of-letters, academism art and folk works of art ideally so as to provide references, suggestions and thoughts with practical value and practical significance for correctly inheriting, protecting and using Gaomi Puhui New Year picture during solving the problem intangible cultural heritage.The birthland of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture is "Dongbei Town" in Gaomi which is written in Mo Yan’s works (Mo Yan winning2012Nobel Prize in literaturewas born in Gaomi). Mo Yan once speak bluntly that Gaomi folk art was the soil for his writing. As people pay extensive attention to Mo Yan and his concept of "Dongbei Town" in Gaomi, greater chance and new opportunity will certainly be brought for publicity and development of Gaomi Puhui New Year picture. |
