Study On Calligraphy Esthetics Thought In Art Summary·Calligraphy Summary Of Liu Xizai

Liu Xizai is an outstanding writer, literary theorist and educator, also an important calligraphy theorist of the late Qing Dynasty. His works of calligraphy theory "Calligraphy Summary" with summarized characteristics occupies an important position in the history of the calligraphy theory in ancient China. In Calligraphy Summary, Liu Xizai made a comprehensive and dialectical summary to the traditional calligraphy theory and discussed in depth to the essence, creation, font, form aesthetic ideals, standards, mood and other aspects of the art of calligraphy, which was of important practical significance. This article attempts to reveal theory value of Liu Xizai calligraphy esthetics theory of value from four aspects:the calligraphy characteristics, method of creation, aesthetic ideal, criticized the principle.The first chapter "Background of the formation of Liu Xizai calligraphy esthetics theory" divided into "The cultural background and the development of calligraphy","Life and thoughts of Liu Xizai","Art Summary and Calligraphy Summary" for discussion。This chapter mainly analyzes the cause of Liu Xizai calligraphy esthetics theory from the history and culture background, experience and thought of Liu Xizai life. Art Summary and Calligraphy Summary is also briefly introduced and analyzed in this chapter.The second chapter "Calligraphy esthetics thought of Liu Xizai" discusses from "the expression characteristics of calligraphy","Calligraphy creation","Aesthetic ideal" and "the criticism principle". Liu Xizai reveals the calligraphy expression characteristics through the "meaning" and "image","nature" and "write records" concepts. For calligraphy creation, Liu Xizai believes that learners should unite the imitating nature and ancients, practicing hard and insight, interesting and law. He put the harmonious as calligraphy aesthetic ideal realm, and the concept and category of Yin, Yang, rigid, flexible and a series of the unity of opposites of confirmed this point. He put the "calligraphy as the person" as the basic criteria of calligraphy criticism that the value of art and calligrapher calligraphy knowledge, talent, interest, character and other closely related.The third chapter discusses the feature and value of calligraphy esthetics thought of Liu Xizai. Liu Xizai’s calligraphy esthetics thought with summary and the dialectical is the last peak of Chinese ancient aesthetics of calligraphy.
