Early stage of Hermeneutics, the question of application paid more attention to the application skills, and treated it as a measure. Gradually people combined understanding with interpretation, they neglected the question of application. Until the Gadamer’s practical philosophy, understanding, interpretation, and application did truly integrate, and application was treaded as an existent way. As a result, the application was revalued. On some idea described by legal interpretation, Gadamer abandon the traditional mode which separated subjectivity and objectivity interpreted by traditional legal interpretation, and built an open and practice mode based understanding, interpretation, and application. Gadamer believes that practical dialogue is the basic mode of understanding; and understanding disclosed the importance of existence and dipalyed the existence of themselves by the dialogue of application. The phronesis can lead to human’s rational virtue, and consist in the concept of the application. The phronesis was not only the rationality which lead to the right life style but also the ability of application and understanding which guide individual to find common values. This paper is to clarify the importance of application, strengthen the relationship between understanding, interpretation, dialogue and practical wisdom;and explores how the application of the practical philosophy play a role in pursuing "good"(unity) of the political science in ancient Greek.
