Criticism On Du Fu’s Poetry In The Late Southern Song Dynasty

Du fu is one of the greatest poets in the history of ancient Chinese poetry. His poetry is very valuable in the history of Chinese classical poetry. From ancient times to the present, the study of Du Fu has never stopped, and formed a specialized subject area that is "Du Fu Poetics". In Song Dynasty, there appeared the first climax in the history of Du Fu poetics research. We can found a lot of criticism of Du fu’s poems, and judgment on Du Fu. In Song Dynasty, Du Fu’s poetry has been collected,noted, published, criticize. At the same time, people learned and commented his poem. Song dynasty people appreciate of Du Fu’s patriotic personality, research and learn on his poems from the content to the form carefully. At the time, Du fu’s "Saint" status and the poetry "master" said, gradually establish and spread so far. To the late Southern Song Dynasty, the study of Du Fu was more comprehensive. Based on summarizing the materials of Du Fu’s research in the Song Dynasty, this paper focuses on the end of the song three critics comment on Du Fu and his poetry. Studying important writers and their important views, this thesis analyzes the late Song Dynasty Du Fu criticized the meaning of poetry at that time. This article is divided into six parts. Introduction focuses on the purpose, significance, current status and innovations of this research. The first chapter mainly discusses the research of Du Fu in the whole Song Dynasty. The second chapter, centered around Liu Kezhuang’s "Hou Cun Shi Hua", make an inductive analysis of Liu Kezhuang’s important views on Du Fu. The third chapter is Liu Chenweng’s important comments on Du Fu. He created a new form of poetry criticism. The fourth chapter centered around Fang Hui’s "Ying Kui Lv Sui", analysis of Fang Hui’s important views on Du Fu. He mainly criticized Du Fu’s poem’s status, content, style and art skill. The fifth chapter analyzes the status and influences of the late Song Dynasty research of Du Fu.
