Along with the rapid development of internet technology, cyberloafing is becoming more and more universal, abuse of the computer and internet is a problem in the workplace. Employees look like working hard in front of the computer, but the truth is they are chatting, visiting web sites, playing games, etc. In addition, the employees’ different level of organizational embeddedness would result in different emotion and behavior, thus influence the work effectiveness of employees and organizational output, so we infer that organizational embeddedness will influence cyberloafing. Being an important personality variable, psychological control affects human people’s individuality and behavior. On the basis of European employees, the researches indicate that higher internal control, deeper organizational embeddedness. Employees with external control will show more cyberloafing. Whether these relationships will still exist in Chinese culture background, how psychological control and organizational embeddedness affect the cyberloafing? These are what our research focus on.410employees were measured by Internal control, Powerful others and Chance Scale, Organization embeddedness Scale and Cyberloafing Scale, finally we got386valid questionares. The Effective response rate is94.1%. The main findings are as follows:(1) There was significant difference among employees with different educational levels on the dimension of Chance scale. On that dimension employees who hold Bachelor degree have significant higher scores than employees who hold college degree and employees graduate from technical school/normal school/vocational school/high school.(2) There was significant age difference on the dimension of Interpersonal network embeddedness Scale. Employees who are above36years old have significant higher scores than employees who are in the25-30year old range and employees who are under25years old on the dimension. Employees who are in the31-35year old range have significant higher scores than employees who are under25years old on the dimension. Senior management employees have significant higher scores than junior management employees and ordinary employees on the dimension of job embeddedness, culture embeddedness and interpersonal network embeddedness.(3) There was significant difference between male employees and female employees on the dimension of Cyberloafing scale. Male employees got significant higher scores than female employees. There was significant age difference on the dimension of Browsing scale. Employees who are in26-30year old range have significant higher scores than employees who are in31-35year old range and employees who are above36years old. Employees who are under25years old have significant higher scores than employees who are above36years old.(4) There was significant negative correlation between Internal control and cyberloafing, while there was significant positive correlation between Chance control and cyberloafing.(5) There was significant negative correlation between Organization embeddedness and cyberloafing.(6) Internal control can significantly predict cyberloafing.(7) Chance control had2influence paths to cyberloafing. One was direct influence path and the other was indirect influence path that mediated by interpersonal network embeddedness. Chance control influenced cyberloafing is the main one.
