Cyberloafing refers to the use of the network in which individuals have nothing to do with the content of learning and work during study or working hours. At present, the Internet has become an important learning style for college students. The rational use of the network is helpful to learning, while the improper use of the network may interfere with learning(occupy learning time, interrupt the cognitive process). The cyberloafing in university is a kind of behavior that affects the efficiency of learning. It is of great significance to analyze the causes and psychological mechanism of cyberloafing in order to improve the efficiency of learning. The purpose of this paper is to explore the different effects of college students'achievement goal orientation types on cyberloafing, and to try to explain the possible psychological mechanism from two aspects of cognition and emotion.Study 1 explored the effect of achievement goal orientation on cyberloafing through two sub-studies.Sub-study 1A conducted a questionnaire survey of 320 college students through the questionnaire star platform.the results showed that there was a negative correlation between mastery goal orientation and cyberloafing, and a positive correlation between achievement approach and achievement avoidance goal orientation and cyberloafing. In order to test whether there is a causal relationship between the two and to explore whether the effects of the three achievement goal orientations on cyberloafing are the same,sub-study 1B uses a single-factor between design to set up online learning tasks in the laboratory.Through the manipulation of individual achievement goal orientation to observe whether there are differences in the length and frequency of cyberloafing among the three groups(mastery goal group, achievement approach group, achievement avoidance group).A total of 82 subjects were enrolled in the study, the results showed that after controlling the boring degree, liking degree and individual attention level of the materials, the duration of cyberloafing in the mastery target group was significantly lower than that in the achievement avoidance group. There was no significant difference between the achievement approach group and the other two groups, but in the frequency of cyberloafing, mastery, achievement approach and achievement avoidance group were not significant difference between groups. On the basis of study 1,study 2 explored the psychological mechanism of the influence of achievement goal orientation on cyberloafing, and explored the sequential intermediary effect of boredom proneness and attention control by questionnaire. The results of a survey of 443 college students show that the sequence intermediary model is established, that is,boredom proness and attention control play a sequential intermediary role between three kinds of achievement goal orientation and cyberloafing, respectively. But the influence direction is different:mastering goal orientation, achievement approaching goal orientation have a lower boredom proneness, which leads to a higher level of attention control and thus less cyberloafing;performance avoidance goal orientation boredom proneness is higher, resulting in lower attention control,In turn, there is more cyberloafing.Based on the above research, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)the higher the mastery goal orientation, the less cyberloafing, the higher the achievement approach or achievement avoidance goal orientation, the more cyberloafing;(2)Achievement goal orientation has an impact on cyberloafing through the sequence intermediary of boredom proneness and attention control.
