In the influence of geographical location, Japanese formed a unique cultural character and spiritual structure. Then, they advocated "Mono no aware’,"Yugen", and "Fuuga" aesthetic consciousness. As an important part of Japanese culture, Japanese films inevitably embodied the aesthetic consciousness. Yasujiro Ozu is known as "with the most distinctive features of the Japanese film director". His films are deeply infiltrated the national characteristic of the traditional aesthetic concept. He made it to the perfect state and successfully conquered the audience all over the world. At present the study of Ozu’s films lasts upsurge, but the research that analyses his films with Japanese traditional aesthetic systematically and comprehensively is still rare.This paper will take the Japanese traditional aesthetic consciousness as the breakthrough point, adopt the method of text analysis combined with aesthetic theory, to explore traditional aesthetic impacting on the film author’s style. This paper will analyze the text content, the Film language and the narrative of Ozu’s films with "Mono no aware","Yugen", and "Fuuga" in Japanese traditional aesthetic, to reveal why Ozu’s films have a unique charm. Ozu’s films will be a detailed analysis and be found the deep reason of "the most Japanese".The theme of Ozu’s films is to show the " Mono no aware ". He put human first. The "aware" in two generations, between men and women, and in the things of the social is vividly described in his films. In addition, on the film language, Ozu showed the beauty of " Yugen ". Whether photography, performance, or screen, are full of elegant, quiet, deep and even mysterious. In terms of narrative, Ozu borrowed the characteristics of Japanese unique literature style-haiku. The narrative rhythm, narrative strategies and narrative style of his films are unique, and show the beauty of "Fuuga". Because the Japanese traditional aesthetic consciousness is shown completely in his films, Yasujiro Ozu’s films are full of personal style and the unique Japanese flavor.
