Heian Period(794-1192 years), the highly developed culture of the Han and Tang Dynasties stimulated Japan’s national self-consciousness to a large extent, formed national style consciousness. Political and economic development also strengthened the needs of national culture constructivism and identity. In the late Heian, the Japanese nation tried to get rid of the Tang culture in order to establish the national culture style. This phenomenon firstly showed off by the case that Japanese literature gradually get rid of the influence of Chinese literature, totally using kana to create literary works emerged. All of this spurred the real meaning of Japanese literature gone to the stage with the completion of Japanese symbol system. The Pillow Book like The Tale of Genji and a number of outstanding works of literature during Heian Period, on the problem of efforts in the Japanese symbol system trying to replace the Chinese symbolic systems cultural carrier, become a breakthrough of Japanese national culture construction.This paper use Qing Less Ran’s essays prose the Pillow Book as the object of study,trying hard to reflect the characteristics of the Japanese nation from the creation background, stylistic features, linguistic symbol system, aesthetic tendencies and so on,revealing its unique contribution on the Japanese National Style Discourse Constructivism.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper were composed of four chapters.The first chapter clarifies the cultural context that the Chinese style turns to the Japanese style of the Heian period, namely the creative contexts of the Pillow Book. At the beginning of Heian Period, the Japanese style was on the dark ages. With the abolition of the Envoy dispatched to the Tang Dynasty system, the mention of “the soul of the Japanese nation, the technology of the Chinese nation”, the creation and use of kana characters and so on, the Japanese literature consciousness gradually awake.The second chapter discusses the practice in the construction of the unique style of Japanese literature that the Pillow Book reflects as the beginning of Japanese essays.Firstly, analyze the establishment process of the literary style-- “ Cao Zi" and its significance in the construction of the Japanese nation style; then describes the Pillow Book’s stylistic features, including essays genre characteristics and freedom, elegant style features; finally, discuss the impact of stylistic style on Japanese subsequent literature that established by the Pillow Book.The third chapter describes the Pillow Book’s achievements on the construction of the national language. Firstly, reviews the Japanese national character-kana’s emergence and development process, the Japanese nation without words, Chinese characters was gradually evolved into kana which is more suitable for the national use; secondly, briefly discusses female kana literature creation prosperity in the late Heian period; finally analyzes the using characteristics of kana.The fourth chapter analyzes the aesthetic tendency of the Pillow Book on the construction of national aesthetic charm. Firstly, discusses the realistic characteristics of essays, can record personal feelings truly, which also become one of the main features of literary essays; followed by an analysis of the "fun" and " object sorrow" aesthetic tendency, the Pillow Book not only constructs a new aesthetic category—“fun”, but also reflects the aesthetic tendency of " object sorrow"; finally explains the aristocratic dynasty aesthetic consciousness that this book reflects.
