As the most important folk beliefs in Hangjiahu Plain, the folk belief of Silkworm Goddess is a carrier of local history and culture. Its existence form reflects the local people’s spiritual and cultural life. Hanshan, Huzhou Province, as the birthplace of sericulture culture, has a central position in Silkworm Goddness Belief. In this paper, the author tried to find the relationship between Practice of Folk Belief and "Production of space" with a case study on Silkworm Goddness Belief in Hanshan.This paper is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the paper introduces the historical inevitability of the birth of Silkworm Goddness Belief. Silkworm Goddness Belief is accompanied by sericulture production. The second chapter mainly introduces the geographical partition of "Hilltop" and "Foothills", described the "Production of space" of Hanshan in the history and today. The third chapter presents the different versions of the "Silkwormlady and Horse" Myth, parsing the partition of social space at people’s thought level. In the fourth chapter, The author tries to analysis the change of Practice of Silkworm Goddness Belief, during the transformation of temple fair of Silkworm Flower.The conclusion of this paper is:the "Production of space" in Hanshan determines its practice of the Silkworm Goddness Belief. In a more general sense, the conclusion can be expressed as:the "Production of space" determines the practice of folk beliefs.
