Lexical Research Of Female Description In Chinese

Chinese letter is the essence of Chinese culture. And the idioms,sayings, locations is a group of peculiarity among the world’slanguage. They are concise in forms, and have stable structures. Andthey also embody the thoughts and the rule of cognition of the mass.thus were named elite of the language treasure-house. Among thesystem of the verbal repertoire, the female vocabulary has its ownunique characteristics. This thesis choose the idioms, sayings,locutions which are used to portrait the female figures as its researchobject. And to describe, analyze and discuss them from the respectsof structure, figure of speech, grammar and semantics.There are six parts in this thesis. The first par is introduction thatintroduce the reason of subject choosing, describe definition offemale vocabulary, the current research achievement and method ofstudy. The second study the idioms appeared in Chinese, and studythem from the aspects of structural method, figure of speech and grammatical function. The structural method mainly divided intotwo-two stop and non-two-two stop. As to its inner relationship, theycan be divided into many small types; Rhetoric methods will bestudied from the aspect of its characteristics and figure of speech; asfor grammatical function, the idioms used for describing woman canbe functioned as various types of sentence constituents, andfunctioned as sub-clause in compound sentences, and also can beused as a single sentence; The research object in the third part is thesayings that describe woman figures, and study them from theaspects of structural method, figure of speech, grammatical functionand expressions. The fifth part studies the locution of femaledescription, and study it from the aspects of structural method, figureof speech, and grammatical function. The sixth part is generally asemantic classification to idioms, sayings, locations, and reveal theirhidden cultural meanings mainly from appearance, locutionary tattoo,and its position. Then subclassify it into small types, and culturallystudy these small types. Then reveal the traditional female culturethat hidden in them.This thesis applies linguistic theory as its guide and combined withfolklore, cultural studies, sociology and the previous brilliantachievement. It analyzes the vocabulary the used for describingfemale in Chinese. And hope it can provide some valuable reference for the study and application of vocabulary research, and teaching.
