Descriptive Catalog Of Seven Kinds Of Dunhuang Poetry Anthology In British Collections

The Dunhuang Literature has saved many poems written in Tang and Five Dynasties of ancient China, especially some long-lost works. Besides, the Dunhuang Poetry has significantly contributed to collation of the poems collected by Quan Tang Shi. From the beginning of the20th century, the poems of Tang and Five Dynasties existed in Dunhuang Literature had greatly attracted scholars. The Dunhuang Grottoes Literature and Its Original Discover, written by Luo Zhenyu in1909, among which contains Wen Xuan Li Shan Zhu, Gu Chen Zi Ang Ji, Qin Ren Yin(the original one called Qin Fu Yin), Dunhuang Shi Yong Yi Juan(the original called Dunhuang Er Shi Yi Yong), etc, is the earliest masterpiece on Dunhuang Poetry. Later, distinguished scholars like Wang Guowei, Liu Fu, Hu Shi, Zheng Zhenduo, Wang Chongmin, etc, have unremittingly studied on Dunhuang Poetry and managed to obtain significant results.According to over ten rubbings from stone inscription or recorded writings of Dunhuang Literature, referring to more than140dissertations by scholars around the world since over a century, the dissertation aims to study ten kinds of Dunhuang poems stored in Great Britain and to compose an outline, mainly including the following aspects:1, To inspect the existed poems.2, To introduce the volumes and their composition.3, To bind fracture volumes together.4, To introduce the lifetime and survived works of the authors of those poems.5, To examine the transcribe time or creation time of those poems.6, To list valuable and thoughtful research results, and to correct and analyze defective views.7, To summarize the outline of those poems.8, To introduce the main correction volumes of those poems.
