With respect to the literature creation, the "literature creation" and "literary production" refer to the two different literature theories. In history, it is taken for granted to consider works as a "creation" and such a concept seems to have been perfectly justified. Since the second half of the the20th century, the traditional "literary creation" is gradually replaced by "literary production". This means not only a change of the key word from "creation" to "production", but also the change of the study model in literature which reflects differences between the two literary concepts. Literary creation and literary production represent two distinctive literature study models and theories. No matter in ideological background and the logical starting point, or in the way of thinking, they are incompatible with each other. In the eighties of last century, some Chinese scholars began to think of artistic creation from the perspective of the production theory. But their work did not get a great response or recognition. Before that period, people pay little attention to the "artistic production", and the related studies are also relatively less. In21st century, with the deepening of market-oriented development, theorists began to turn their eyes to "artistic production" and conducted discussions about it. But their work does not fully explain the meaning of "artistic production", and fails to sort off the divergence between "literature creation" and "literature production". Influenced by "literature creation theory" and "reflection theory", many current literary textbooks are still accustomed to elaborate literary activities with "literature creation"The purpose of the present study is to attempt to systematically examine the ideological background and theoretical sources of the two theories and its development, and then to compare and clarify the two theories. The first part and the second part of the thesis make a general description of the theoretical source and the development of the two theories respectively. The third part makes a detailed comparison between "literature creation" and "literature production" from different perspectives. The "literature creation" and "literary production" refer to the two different literature theories. Creationists insist that literature creation is a unique spiritual phenomenon of the creation subject, and that it is the original creation of the subject in the inspiration and passion, and that it is self-disciplined.Scholars who hold "production theory" claims that literature creation is a social practice which is subjected to the interaction of various factors and constrained by specific social and historical conditions. Literary production is not self-disciplined, but controlled. And the fourth part is a rethinking on "literature creation" and "literature production" Through the comparison and analysis from the perspective ot history sociology, the present study indicates that each of the two theories has its own rationality, and meanwhile each inevitably has its theoretical limitations. The present study argues that the "literature creation" and "literary production" should negotiate rather than opposing, either this or that unidirectional identity or belittle one theory is not scientific. In the present market context, we should not only see one side heteronomy literature in the spiritual production activities, but also can not ignore the importance of the authors’personal subjective initiative...
