Research On Metro Interior Design With Local Cultural Characteristics

With the rapid economic development in China, the population in big cities increases gigantically. As a result, the traffic jam has become a problem which brakes both the development of the cities and the construction of a well-off society. Therefore, it is of great necessity to develop metros in order t solve the problem of traffic congestion. And metro becomes indispensible part in modern society and our daily life. When the city people take the safe, rapid and comfortable metro, they get to have more interest in the local culture in the metro. But how to have the metro interior design with local characters has not been certain, neither did we have successful designs in the actual metro vehicle running in our country. From this point of view, my study of metro interior design with local characters has innovative and pioneering character and also has broad market prospects.My research starts from combining the local culture characters with the metro interior design, then attention is paid to the respect of the conditions and standards in the field. Before a comprehensive study on metro interior design in and outside China, this work defines the local culture characters and the conception structure of design. Finally an application design comes into being:Chengdu metro line3vehicles interior design. This design highlights the modeling, color, function and culture connotation. Therefore the passengers can enjoy themselves in such a special public space, feeling spiritual happiness brought by the local culture. Chengdu traditional culture can also be found there. Eventually this design can improve the urban culture taste and continue the local culture.
